Year 8 'Space Day' trip to The Common Room.

Y8 visiting The Common Room for ‘Space Day’  Whilst waiting for everyone to arrive to the amazing heritage venue, some students took the opportunity to make progress with their reading!

The Year 8s had four sessions on space materials, rocket launches, Mars rover LEGO, and building a space colony. Here are the ever-competitive 8C building rockets, designing the shape and size of each component for maximum launch. We love their enthusiasm for learning!

8A are exploring what humans would need to live on other planets by building their very own space cities! A great test of their DT, Art and Science skills.
