Our school is committed to establishing and maintaining an environment where children feel secure, are encouraged to talk, are listened to and are safe. We recognise that staff at our school play a particularly important role as they are in a position to identify concerns early and provide help for children to prevent concerns from escalating. All staff are advised to maintain an attitude of ‘it could happen here’ where safeguarding is concerned. When concerned about the welfare of a child, staff members will always act in the best interests of the child. We also recognise the importance of working closely with the parents and carers of our young people to ensure we have awareness and are meeting the needs of our students.
If you wish to understand how we do this in greater detail please can I refer you to our safeguarding policy which you can find on our School Policies page.
