Fab Friday at Callerton Academy: This week's Fab Friday also highlighted some incredible creative work from our students. From artist studies and observational drawing to imaginative personal projects and sketchbook development, students demonstrated outstanding creativity, skill and commitment. The quality of work on display was exceptional, and it was wonderful to see students confidently discussing their ideas, inspirations and artistic techniques with staff and peers. View PostYear 11 at Callerton Academy: Assembly will take place on Wednesday 17th June from 10:00am–11:00am. The celebration will include speeches, awards and refreshments as we come together to mark the end of our students' journey at Callerton Academy. Students and parents/carers will leave site at the conclusion of the event at 11:00am. Students should arrive in full school uniform for the celebration – a final opportunity to take photographs together and celebrate this important milestone. There will not be official leavers' hoodies this year, however students are welcome to bring a PE top or plain white top to be signed by friends and staff during the event. View PostGCSE Exams at Callerton Academy: A reminder for Year 11 students and their parents and carers that on Monday 8th June, students who do not study Spanish have permission to leave Callerton Academy at 1.10pm to continue their revision and preparation from home for the afternoon. Students are expected back in school as normal on Tuesday 9th June, where Maths booster sessions will be taking place ahead of upcoming examinations. For any students who would prefer to remain in school on Monday afternoon, a quiet study area will be available. View PostAttendance at Callerton Academy: CALLERTON ACADEMY WORLD CUP ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE From Monday 8th June, our students will be taking part in the Callerton Academy World Cup Attendance Challenge! Each form class has drawn a World Cup team and will compete against one another throughout the half term to score goals (points) through excellent attendance and punctuality. The team with the most goals at the end of the tournament will be crowned our World Cup Champions! Form classes can score goals by: 90% daily form attendance = 1 goal 90% weekly form attendance = 0.5 goal 93% daily form attendance = Bonus goal No form class lates in a day = 1 goal No form class lates all week = 2 goals No form class lates after an England fixture = 4 goals 100% individual student attendance for the week = 0.5 goal added to their form class total There will be a prize every Wednesday for the form class with the highest attendance during the previous week. During the final week of term, there will be a major reward event for the overall winning team, as well as prizes for our runners-up. We are looking forward to seeing our students represent their countries with pride by attending school every day, arriving on time, and helping their form class climb the World Cup leaderboard!
