Welcome to Callerton Academy, an exciting and inspiring place to learn and grow, where we are passionate about creating inspired futures. Our academy is built on a commitment to nurturing every student’s potential, empowering them to thrive academically, socially, and personally. We set high expectations for ourselves and our students, fostering a culture of ambition, respect, and kindness.
Opened in September 2021, we began our journey with our first Year 7 cohort and continue to grow year by year through new intakes.
English at Callerton Academy: As our Year 10 and 11 students continue their GCSE journey, we're encouraging them to take ownership of their English revision Whether it's practising exam questions, revisiting key texts, or building confidence in reading and writing skills, regular and focused revision will make a real difference. Students are supported in lessons and through targeted interventions, and families can help by encouraging consistent revision routines at home A steady approach now will pay off later keep going and keep believing #CallertonAcademy #EnglishAtCallerton #GCSEEnglish #KS4 #RevisionReady #CreatingFutures #GosforthGroup

View PostHistory at Callerton Academy: On Thursday afternoon, some of our Year 9 students took part in a powerful and moving experience as part of our Holocaust Memorial Day commemorations. Students had the privilege of meeting Dr Martin Stern, who shared his personal testimony with honesty, courage, and dignity. Hearing his story firsthand gave students a deeper understanding of this period of history and the lasting importance of remembrance. Throughout the session, students listened with great respect and maturity, asking thoughtful and insightful questions. Many spoke about how meaningful the experience was and how grateful they felt to learn directly from someone who lived through these events. A truly memorable opportunity that will stay with our students for years to come.
