In this weeks' dissection club looked at the gas exchange system in Fish! Our pupils were amazed to hear all about how most fish never exhale and that their 'cheeks' are called Operculum. Using scalpels and scissors to extract the gill filaments in one piece, looking at how they fan out 'like false eyelashes' once they were placed in a petri dish of water. Go Dissection club!
