Congratulations to the Class of 2026 on their GCSE results and on reaching a historic milestone as Callerton Academy's first-ever GCSE cohort.

Today marks a landmark moment for the academy as our Year 11 students receive the first GCSE results in Callerton Academy’s history. While grades are an important achievement, today is also a celebration of the resilience, determination and personal growth shown by every student throughout their time at Callerton Academy. We could not be prouder of what they have achieved.

As some of the very first students to join the academy when it opened in 2021, this cohort has grown alongside the school itself. Together, they have helped shape the culture, values and identity of Callerton Academy, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations of students. Their achievements represent not only individual success but also an important chapter in the academy's story.

Susanna Cooke, Head of School at Callerton Academy, said:

"Today is a truly special day for our academy. We are incredibly proud of every student receiving their GCSE results and of everything they have achieved during their time with us.

As our first GCSE cohort, these young people have helped build Callerton Academy from the very beginning. They have embraced opportunities, overcome challenges and contributed enormously to the positive culture we see in our school today.

While examination results are important, we are most proud of the character, resilience and determination our students have shown. Every student has their own story, and today is about celebrating them achieving their very best and taking the next step towards their future goals."

Since opening in 2021, Callerton Academy has grown from a new school into a thriving secondary academy serving families across west Newcastle. Today’s results are a significant milestone for the academy and reflect the hard work, commitment and partnership of students, staff and families over the last five years.
