Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope this letter finds you well. As usual, the students have been busy at Callerton Academy this week and last, with Year 9 Assessments and Year 11 Mock Exams as the big calendar items. Assessment periods are such an integral part of our school calendar, with Year 11 Mocks being the pinnacle before the final summer exams. As you would expect, the students have shown themselves in an excellent light this week.
As a reminder, we have a Breakfast Club from 8.00 to 8.25am every morning. All students are welcome to come along to have food, socialise and to get any support they need before the school day starts. Students can enter the building via the Main Reception.
Year 9, students begin to make decisions about what subjects they would like to study throughout Key Stage 4. This is known as the Options Process. The Parents and Carers Evening on Tuesday, 10th February, will allow you to discuss progress in all your child’s subjects to support thinking about options. For advanced notice, the Options Evening is being held on Thursday, 26th February at the school.
Many students ride their bikes to school, and we would like to remind everyone of the following guidelines:
Thank you again for your ongoing support.
Yours faithfully
Katie Innes, Principal
