Year 11 Mock Exams at Callerton Academy: This week, all Year 11 students have received their personalised mock exam timetables. These mocks are a vital opportunity for students to practise exam routines, manage their time effectively, and identify key areas to focus on ahead of the summer GCSE exams. The full January Mock Exam timetable is shared here for reference. We encourage students to: attend every exam fully prepared, revise consistently in the lead-up, and speak to subject teachers if they need support. These sessions offer an opportunity to find out more about: autism and ADHD assessment support for parents and carers mental health support activities, groups and local services The sessions are informal and welcoming, and you can drop in at any point during the advertised times. IT at Callerton Academy: Yesterday, our Year 7 Coding Club visited One Strawberry Lane in Newcastle to celebrate a full term of game development and what a term it's been! Throughout the Autumn Term, students have attended Coding Club every Wednesday after school, working hard to design and code their own computer games. Attendance has been outstanding, and this commitment has played a huge part in building students' confidence and enabling them to produce such high-quality work. Although we didn't come out on top this time, the team received some really positive feedback from the judges, as well as from students at other schools. Our Year 7s represented themselves, their families and Callerton Academy brilliantly we couldn't be prouder Calling all Year 7s! A new Coding Club will be starting at the end of January. Maths at Callerton Academy: This week, we were delighted to welcome colleagues from all four of our feeder primary schools into the Academy to spend time with our Maths department. Music at Callerton Academy: We're excited to continue building our new school orchestra, in partnership with Orchestras for All an inclusive opportunity for all students, especially those having instrumental lessons or studying GCSE Music .
