Callerton Academy is an exciting and thriving new secondary school where staff are highly valued and invested in to be able to become exceptional practitioners. As a school we are committed to providing the very best education for pupils from Year 7 to Year 11. Based in our excellent temporary site, formerly a school building which has been reconfigured in Newcastle’s Graingertown, we have access to a range of brilliant facilities. We will move to our brand-new site which will have capacity for 1200 students in September 2025; this is located to the northwest of the city – close to Westerhope, Kingston Park and Newcastle International Airport. We are one of two new schools within Gosforth Group Multi Academy Trust and we have welcomed our fourth cohort of students this academic year, meaning that we have Years 7, 8, 9 and 10.
About the role
We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to be a member of the support staff team at Callerton Academy. Alongside working within a multi-professional team to undertake cover for staff on a day to day basis, you will be a ‘hands on’ colleague who is willing to support all departments of the academy in its infancy.
Whilst we’re in our temporary accommodation you will regularly accompany the students on the school transport service starting at the Simonside Primary School Site. Working hours therefore will be 8am to 4pm and 8am to 3:30pm on Fridays.
